Where to find Philips CDM-1 Mk II transport?
Hi guys, im looking for a Philips CDM-1 Mk II transport (prefer new) for my old cdp as standby spare parts. Kindly let me know where can i get it.

Where can get cdm1 mk 2 new now? 20 years ago maybe.....
U may try to look for eBay for used ones. It's rather hard to get nowadays ...

I didnt realized i was discontinue for such long time, sorry for my ignorance. I guess now i can only hope my CDM1 will not die in near future, or until i get a new cdp.

Cdm1 can last up to 10 or 15 years the r hardly die. Ones died it's hard to be replace...

Its reputated to be one of the best cd mechanism ever built by Phillips since they started building cd players. They almost never die. It would never be cheap since its almost impossible to find them. Even if you wanted to ' potong ' one out of any old players you would still have to pay that much of more. But CDM 1 and CDM 1 Mk II is not the same at all. THe latter is more like the CDM 2 or 4 in a die cast metal casing.

same over here. my philips cd880 uses cdm 1 mk2 and is dead say 3 years ago. still keeping it hoping to get a replacement. Till now, had already changed two cdps. i think i would want to scrap it.
