Mr Oh, when i told him the problem, he said it difficult to trace, so refuse to accept my amp
Mr Jude, took my amp more than 1 month, when i called, he told me he bought the part and ready to repair the fault, 2 week later i call again, told me it fixed, but 1 week later called me say he cant solve the problem, and the amp return untouch.

If Mr Oh did not take in your amp I suspect the problem would be
difficult to be fixed. This was proven when Mr Jude failed to fix the
amp despite having it for 3 weeks. Last resort is probably to send the
amp to the dealer carrying the brand but I'm not sure who would be up
to the task. I have high admiration for Mr Oh's skills and if he thinks
problem is difficult to troubleshoot it would most likely be the case.

Good luck.

The amp goes into protection mode after i leave it on for few hours, sometime few days. I know the problem going to need time to trace, that why i mentioned someone willing to spend times on this.

Dont think there is any agent selling Audia here. The amp really look complicated when i opened up.

Usually Mr Oh doesn't take in amps if he doesn't have circuit diagrams of the amps. Maybe that is one of the reasons although there may be others. If not hands-on better not try to troubleshoot the problem yourself. May get into more trouble if not done properly.

Good luck.

I encountered similar problem with my Denon AVR before. Not able to reset. Finally, replaced some kind of panel inside and it is working fine.

Maybe you can contact the agent in Singapore.

Hi, I am Edmund Jude.

I think hifikaki's statement that i kept his amplifier for a month and then return to him untouched is very misleading.

Let me explain.... When he sent his audia amplifier to me, i told him that this fault is very difficult to trace but i will try to solve this problem for him. I spent many hours over the 3 to 4 weeks his amplifier was with me testing the amp circuit boards . I tested all the capacitors and related parts but found them to be showing the correct values except one part which was giving a different value when the unit got hot.

That is when i ordered the part and after fixing the part into the unit, I found the amplifier still going into protect mode after running for 3 days.

That's when I gave up and told him that i cannot solve this problem .

Finally after all the hours of work on the amp , I returned it back to him .

Well that's what happened with the Audia repair.

With Regards,
Edmund Jude

In my case both Mr Oh and Mr Jude re-surrected my hifi gear where others were unable to do the intended task.

Component tracing is not a simple thing and i do emphatize with people in this trade.

I know that most if not all manufacturers would replace the specific section ( circuit board ) when they encounter these types of nagging issue. And you as a customer pay a hefty repair bill and either you are a happy or angry customer.

(Been there and done that)

Hifikaki....

Sending your gear back to the Distributor would be a likely option and hopefully they have the required parts to change as a whole rather then components change.

Be aware that most manufacturers would keep parts for a specific period of time. (life cycle of the product) Or they may source the parts from other parts of the world.

Suggest you get in touch with the manufacturer of the product.

cheers

triping have 2 condition
1. over current
2. over voltage (rare design for power amplifier)

check for the current flow .. compare left and right channel .. suppose be the same .

Sorry for interrupt. My amplifier also 'nyala' all time at the Protect (LED light). Is that mean my amplifier is under protection mode? By the way, the amplifier is still running well.
