Hi-Fi equipment covers

Post by llsaw on Sun Mar 07, 2010 10:02 am

Folks,

Do you cover your hi-fi equipment such as amps and cd players when not in use? Any idea where to get fabric covers or have to be custom made? Am currently using cotton polishing cloth to cover my gear

I bought a economy price medium size bath towel from Mydin (Mydin is a hypermart here in Klang Valley) and have used it to cover my TT for quite a long time now. Cheap n useable?.

I suppose you'd have to lurk around textile shops in Penang for velvet material. I know I saw bales of it at Nagoya textile shop here at Carrefour Subang. I think velvet like material IS quite available but perhaps in limited colors only, starting with black. DIY sewing to your specs?

LL.....

That being the case then you should try the chinese or indian clothing merchants.

Or u can get the "washing cloth" that are being sold in Car Accessories shop. I have purchased a few sheets from "Brothers" and sewed them to shape to fit my REGA TT.

Cheers

Yes, that's another practical and economical solution. Wanted to use this but found a polishing cloth which is close to the size I wanted..
