2009 KL International AV Show - 24-26 July (JW Marriott Hotel, KL)

Hello Hi-Fi members and enthusiasts,

Just to share some info here and I am sure most of us already know this.

The upcoming 2009 KLIAV show will be held from 24th-26th July at JW Marriott Hotel.

Hopefully, this year will get the opportunity to listen to more great new models.

At the meantime, here are some of the news for the upcoming show.

Definitely will go but doubt that this year will be great due to economy downturn.

Hoping the bad market will force the exhibitors to sell equipments at lower price

Norman Audio's plan for the show this year is to display many of the integrated amps that we carry, along with the entry-level Avalon floorstanding speakers.

We will be having special pricing for all the demo equipment used in the KLIAV show. Want to take back as few things as possible...

Yes

Its a profitable business for the KLAV organizer annually. Its very unlike IT shows that have FOC entry. Can't help it but just that many people hope or expect free shows frequently. Its RM10 entry fee since past many shows already.

Are you referred to Audiomatic? Other nice setup and non-exhaustive are Norman Audio, Perfect Hifi, A&L, etc.

where you guys park your car ? What is the rate at JW Marriot ?

I'll park my car at Merdeka Stadium, take the Monorail into Bukit Bintang area.

i prefer motorbike...

Wow... More and more nice stuffs will appear in this year's KLIAV..
Now, I am just unsure which day to go. Saturday will be packed as usual.

i wonder this year will the guy that brings the ls35a speaker will be arround, his stereo setup i think it is the most soothing that i have listen, and it gave me a very eye opening regarding ls35a.

also i can remember. a long time ago, there was this naim DBL . the large square box speaker, was available, and i set down there for 2 whole hours listening to it, the sound suck at first, because naim is famous for hard music. but i realized as i listened on, the staging was fantastic. it was so real, they played some jazz live music. i just sat there and listen song after song, that was a real experience.
nothing like that. i really respect naim.

Possibly the Bladelius SAGA pre-amp and YMER power amp.

This Saturday will be jampacked with lots of enthusiasts at the show.

Met the president of LS3/5A club, he won't be an exhibitor this year due to work commitment.

How's the security in JW Marriott? Hope it will be beef up after the Jakarta incidence. An Indonesian left an ugly message in Leica Malaysia's FaceBook mainpage.

ongaku will be displayed in KLIAV man, this is a must to listen, the very last time i met mr kondo himself was like many years ago, and this is one man who really knows his stuff using quality and passion in building an amp that is so great that was nominated the best amp in the world, if you have a copy of perfect pitch by The Sun a long time ago, you probably come across this wonderful amp. For the young ones who might not know what grand daddy amp is this, check out kondo, and dont be confused with audio note, the audio note you see today is a chap mak brand. nothing near kondo san design.

i think his name is mr KI that is why there is such thing as a KI method of placing AB1
