2nd Generation iPad?

The iPad has been selling like hotcakes recently as the headlines revealed. After some research I got to know that the iPad was launched in April this year in the US and Singapore got it sometime in June or July. It is only by end of the year Apple launched the iPad here locally. As with most computer and IT gears, the life cycle is usually 1 year, and the 2nd generation iPad is rumoured to be introduced sometime in January 2011(next month?) or latest before the first quarter of the year. Speculations on the additional features of the new iPad were running wild on the web.

Any thoughts if we will similarly get the new iPad 8 months later from the US launch date(5-6 months later than Singapore)?
