custom duties for imported cd player

Wanted to buy a cd player by mail directly from UK using FEDex. how much will i be taxed for importing cd player? any chance to optimise tax at all?

Most of the time av stuff is taxed at 15% + 10%, so you might end up paying 26.5% extra for the tax.

If you have friends / family in the UK can ask them hand carry back, I did that to evade tax Razz

Amplifiers are 15% + 10%
CD Players are 10% sales tax only
