Surround and Front speakers

A relative is looking for a pair of Front and back surround speakers for 5.1 system.

what would you guys recommend ? Need to have decent fidelity and considered good value for money.

no specific budget because don't know what to expect. It should be something prpbably in the mid range (not too low or high in price)

Why not make a visit to some AV shops to check out what's available and also roughly what kind of prices he/she would expect to have to pay ?

Thanks for all the replies. I know there are ranges, but what should be the an minimum adequate power and frequency range for front-centre and back surround for it to really sing, and with too much compromise? The AV amp is a 125W Marantz
