Local made dual mono pre-amp with light technology

Post by hangleng on Sat Feb 26, 2011 8:50 pm

Have been experiencing a dual mono preamp build by a local hifi enthusiast from Ipoh. Very impressive of its phono stage, detail with full dynamics. Thanks to its light technology on volume parameters. Worth an audition.

hangleng, it's best if you can give more detail on what you have experienced, post some pics or perhaps, who made it. I'm sure many wants to know more about this...cheers!

Wabun, don't mind me adding (and I stand corrected)..

I believe I listened to the LDR version + phono, output to Pass Aleph 0 driving a pair of Von Schweikert VR33. IMHO it did very well in the company of these esteemed names in the hifi community (with the exception of the remark (and due respect) to the veteran Hi-ender who proclaimed sub RM500K sytems are not 'Hi-end'). Very Happy Very Happy

Built quality is good, I presume compared with the Jumpan (from what I gather from our lengthy postings here not so looooong ago) and from the indicative price (plus the built-in phono amp), is amazing value. If I hadn't bought the pre-power amps set literally just 2 hours before listening this pre-amp, it would have definitely made it to my shortlist, especially it being a local product (easy to get repaired maa Very Happy, just in case).

I have no photos or specs and don't even know the name Embarassed but should be given a fair shot by those looking for an excellent pre-amp (+the phono stage).
