Hi ky, sorry for my ignorance .. the amp is TL50+ ? Have you been "excercising the KEF piano black" ? The last session I think it is not itself ... Kind regards

They are 12+ with EL84 output tubes. I feel sorry for not meeting your expectation. KEF Piano Black would need months to break in according to expert. However, I couldn't conclude it because they have not occupied the seat more than 2 weeks

Thank you for the compliment. Yes, it indeed very pleasing to my ears. Yet, I am itching to know how the french lady pairs up with 12+ on the dance floor (erm, is it football pitch?)
Please come.
The new pre is partly thanks to the constant poisoning from WongKN

Thanks for the hospitality. Teenage lady might probably suit my age but I would like to hold back until I come up close with the matured one. Hahahaha... If there is a chance in the future, I hope to experience the other pair at the bottom.

Naturally! at that point of time and era, would you expect them to buy and mate American or Japanese amps? I reckon its also part of loyalty and national pride issues, and naturally the British will insist on own people's products. Just like Japanese studios, they're certainly not having Lenco's, Garrards, Linn or Thorens on their radio DJ's desks. Then when BBC helped other commonwealth countries setup their broadcast station (like RTM), they specified mostly all the same rigs. Of course its a different ball game now.

we could possibly sum it up too. Mr Pepper&bread providing double dosage of poison. Perhaps resistance is futile lah.
Re: H.J. Leak Valve Amplifier
Glad I manage to make it for last night party! Max, poison set in already but not how you would imagine!
After warm up, sound was good, especially with vocals. Through out the evening we went along that line. Minge Caiqin, Sara K, Starkers in Tokyo, America etc etc, vocal after vocals it went. We played with the various cd players, sacd even and also records. Until our friend, Mr JBL, decided to 'char' the amps! Out came Bad Company & Fleetwood Mac. Bad company by Bad Company sounded Baaadddd!, if you know what I mean! Then he took out the Mac's Rumours 45rpm remastered version.....side 3, The Chain....fu yoh! One word- BLISS! Also 4 words- Bass & drums kickass! We all know that the 4310D can rock, but last night...it was in a different league! And it's all due to the 50+! Sound was so organic, fast and the lows were really low and tight. With absolutely no smearing of the highs & mids. Tubes can't rock? Try Leak TL 50+!
Maybe some of the guys who came yesterday night can also comment too? But for me, glad I came. Now I cant wait to hear what the 50+ can do to the mini autograph & the 60th ani, 3/5a!
Regards

I guess the TL50+ managed to give those JBLs some spanking yesterday.
But the owner seemed to be enjoying the spanking of his precious toys and the volume he tuned was beyond usual listening level.
