Atlantic Technology 352 PBM - need help

Hi,

I just bought the abovementioned subwoofer, second hand. the sub is hooked to a denon 1911 amp via rca cable into low level input at the back of the sub.

The problem the sub need to be 'Jump start" with a audyssey set up from the stand by mode otherwise it wouldnt wake up though the receiver is alreaady playing..

second problem, the sub will go in to a sleep mode after playing 15 - 20 mins.

any help will be appreciated

Try changing to speaker terminals from amp to speaker terminals of subwoofer. I did that for my friend, he had 2 units left and right as stereo pair, that's about the only difference between his and yours. Sub same brand as yours!

I have upgraded to a better subwoofer cable and it seems to work better, but it is still goes to sleep intermittently until there is a strong signal from the amp and only then it wakes up. I will try your advise as a second option. but would it affect the sound quality of the subwoofer or speaker if i to choose this route?

It won't affect the sound quality.......just an alternate control over the subs......in this case....whenever there is music the sub will be turn on automatically............

Yes bos, i tweak a little with my amp and change the setting to small instead of larges and so thus the centre channel. and the subs came to life everytime. not i got a new problem. my neighbour has stop talking to me.
