Sad to hear of his passing. Met him just a few days ago at his place. A very passionate music loving and friendly guy. Ever willing to share his knowledge in hifi set-up or any related matters. A great loss to us.

Fortunately had a very intimate and last chat with this wonderful and ever very friendly friend in hifi at the recent KLAV show. Very sad and shocked to hear he's now left us. He will always be remembered. My sincere condolences to Mr. Victor Wong's family.
Rest in Peace my friend.

Condolences to his family.
This kind of thing really gets to one. It was really only yesterday that I just had a PM from him and exchanged posts with him. It shows how right that famous old wise chinese saying "today won't know tomorrow's matters" is - translated to "today, we will not know what will happen tomorrow".

I am shocked to hear this. It was only last week that Uncle Vic and I exchanged a few PM's. I had no idea that he was sick, or had health problems.
Rest in peace, UV. As for everyone else, take care - our time on earth is very short. We should make the most of it.

It's a sad news indeed. He was an enthusiast esp when cones to subwoofers. We met at KLIAV and had lengthy chat on multiple subs since he knew that I am also very much into sub.
RIP, Uncle Vic.

It's very sad to know.
Life's uncertain and short, therefore from this, do learn to keep promise, do visit when being invited regardless of setup price to avoid causing disappointment to another soul, so to truly respect...

Re: Condolences to the family of fellow Forummer (the late) Uncle Vic.
Our condolences to his family, relatives & close friends.
Uncle Vic, though our acquaintances have been brief and none too serious, has been known to be very pleasant to almost anyone and everyone.
Our time here on earth is only temporary. Let's do what we can to make life here better for the people we come into contact with and beyond.
Indeed, he has made positive contributions to many hi-fi enthusiasts in Malaysia, primarily through the founding of KLANS, the sharing of his ideas to achieving good sound and most of all, his personality.
Does anyone know whether the funeral arrangements are confirmed and if it is appropriate for us (fellow audiophiles) to attend?

Another great Hifi Guru has pass on
Hi, i would like to start this thread to pay a tribute to Uncle Victor Wong or Also known as Uncle Vic to most of us. As i was reading Hifi unlimited blogspot. i came to know Uncle Vic has left us sometime around 28th August 2011 and we will all miss him very much.
Uncle Vic has one of the most amazing system that i have ever listen in his humble little house in Sri Rampai Setapak, To any of us who have ever listened to his system it will kind of remind you how many subs and speakers he use for his setup, Simple yet words can never describe his setup.
I simple describe his system as Uncle VIC's Modular Monitor. Or UVMM as opposed to WAMM (Wilson Audio Module Monitor) and the UVMM gives out a great SLAMM... hehe, poor tempted humour.
But i wish his family the best and i will never forget him as one of the greatest hifi kaki which is super active in our Malaysian Audio World.
Rest in Peace Uncle Vic, may you find hifi in heaven.
