All those sticker labels aren't on the actual cover graphics but on the protective plastic sleeve.
Had a wild idea of intending to frame them up somehow.
The actual vinyl LP would have been costly so I settled for re-issues and I'm quite happy with the remastered cd's. Amazingly, many of these are EXCELLENT. I can't really complain about the sound considering the price of each made great economical sense and worth it.
Shown below is a huge part of the artist's entire career discography (a couple more not shown here). Crazy huh..considering some tracks may be repeated in some discs. I could have settled for Greatest Hits disc and thats that, but didn't.

I think the reissue is from yesasia.com. i also bought some Beyond's Reissue. They can't be found our local store. Show off my Beyond collection a bit. Razz

Considering the albums I wanted all along, after research its substantial savings buying from online retailers. NO way I'd get it for the same price here.

Thirty Seconds to Mars - This is War. Fronted by actor Jared Leto, TSTM's third album sounds closer to Muse rather than the angst filled rock of their earlier albums. Produced by Flood and Steve Lillywhite..

Peter Gabriel - Scratch My Back. Slow, moody and intimate but never dull to me. Mr Gabriel's version of Paul Simon's upbeat "The Boy in a Bubble" has to be listened to be believed. Were it not for the familiar lyrics I would've though it was another song. Perfect for late night listening..

Oh.. and buying the CD grants you access via a password key to a high resolution download of the album..

Mum - Go Go Smear the Poison Ivy. I find this kinda boring on first listen compared to "Finally We Are No One". Quirky but not strong on melody. Will hopefully improve after more listening..

Regina Spektor - Soviet Kitsch. I prefer this to the more commercial sounding "Far" Many songs feature Regina with her piano and just simple drum machine effect or strings..

This came in via CDWow yesterday. Most interestingly while a 1992 remaster it is an Argentine pressing. The only South American CD pressing in my collection. Atom Heart Mother on the way. Wonder where that's from?

last time it was "smash your head on punk rock", then was out of source. at that time it was expensive to own a copy of rare cd title like seBADoh. same goes to mudhoney, primus, pj harvey, pavement, ween & others that i cant remember anymore. hey, you should try mudhoney best of the double disc "march to fuzz", its worth it, if you dont have one of course. enjoy that badmotorfinger, its my all time favourite!!

The seller is very knowledgeable in indie music. We exchanged opinions on the indie scene and recommended heaps of future listenings. What a fruitful meeting! If only I can find more indie kakis in M'sia.

Martina Topley-Bird - Quixotic. The one time collaborator and vocallist for Tricky and Massive Attack's first solo album. Mostly electronic and not too shabby either..

Pink Floyd - A Saucerful of Secrets. My least liked Pink Floyd album on first listen.

hi llsaw,
i rather liked what u listen to mostly, esp the new bands that r unknown to me and given ur taste i make it a point to investigate further. but in ur last 2 posts u implied that Yes and Dire Straits r american pop rock. which they aren't surely kan? and pink floyd's 1st 2 albums r really their greatest i think. after syd barrett went 'shutter island' they lost their innocence and they got technically more adept and their production got cleaned up til they gleamed. the endearing quirks of say 'see emily play' replaced by hi-fi i guess.
so give 'a saucerful of secrets' and ' the pipers at the gates of dawn' a few more spins and marvel at what was achieved by a hungry band given a free run of a barebone studio. no sophisticated equipmt, just wires and tape machines and feedback and LSD. heh.
and if possible listen thru headphones in a darkened room with an altered consciousness. at full vol of course.
