Price for Rotel RB-1080 power amp

Hi, can anyone tell me how much this power amp cost? Previously i saw people selling it for 2.2k-2.4k less than 1/2 year old in the sale thread. If not mistaken i was quoted 4.4k (cant remember exactly). That why i curious why 2nd hand can be so far. 4k is out my budget and 2.2k i can manage

Thinking to get this to power my Dynaudio Audience 122 in the future, with my Marantz PM7001 as temporary pre-amp. My amp sounds thin on this speaker. I did test my speaker on a 100watt Rotel integrated amp and indeed it sounded better slightly.

yup second hand quoted between 2 to 2.5k. New will cost a near to 5grand. Theres a new design & it looks like krell kav. those rb 1080 has been around for quite sometime & rocks. recommended

Near 5 grand is quite expensive. RM4.4K seems reasonable. A friend of mine bought it at RM4.2K. Then again, he is the reg cust for the shop.

the newer one rb1582 is exactly the same circuit design as rb1080. the differents are only on the metal chasing looks. this model still rocks !!

i tot new rotel all class D? rb1080 still class AB.
