Hi,

Merry X'mas! I'm currently using the SA8003 and PM8003. Upgraded from CD6002 and PM6002, tremendous improvement especially for the amp. Got my PM/SA8003 set at around RM5k in early 2009. Was using Monitor Audio BR5 but sounds a little boomy due to my room's small dimension. Upgraded my speakers to ATC SCM11 a month ago and with no regrets.

Cheers!

Hi,

Budget CD players are getting better and better. For the type of sound quality produced by the SA-8003, you probably have to pay double the price about 10 to 15 years ago. Based on the current street price, this player may be the best value CD player in the Malaysian market currently, besides been able to play SACD.

Pros: sounded full, cotrolled, and very natural. Treble is clean and bass is well defined.

Cons: treble roll-off, not impressive with rock material (too smooth and lack slamp).

Bye and have a good day.

Bro, congrats on your purchase! What speakers will you be using with them? I'm sure it's very much cheaper getting the 8003 combo in Singapore.

Still no idea what speaker to match the new set, existing using the cheaper speaker, budget around 2 K, bro any comment?

Yes, more cheaper than local, Desa kepong offer me the SA 8003 with rm 2899, PM 8003 price around same as SA 8003, so total around 5.8k, don't have the budget get from them.

Anyway the performers is great, just test it last night, sound warm and clear~~~! .

Wish all of the Forum Member Happy New Year, Cheers~~~~!
