The ArtChamber Quloos Digital Signal Enhancer (New) Qulcos_zpse0k5ya0t

The most impressive Hifi accessory encountered for the year that we would like to introduce to all DAC users.

This passive device improves sound stage, dynamics, scales of music, clarity, as well as darkening the system's background, hence improving transparency of system.

Simply plug in your digital coaxial cable at one end and the other end to the DAC. The device provides 3 selection of choices, A, B1 and B2 of which each of them deliver a slightly different performance.

We now offer a 10 days money back guarantee for the month of May. Should you find it not suitable after purchasing the device, simply return it to us within ten days at its original condition for a full refund. We guarantee the workmanship of each unit (the casing is made of aluminium brick) and your satisfaction. Those who purchased from us before could contact us for a 7-day free trial before purchase.

We personally found the improvement of the system by plugging in the device to be better than changing cables many times more expensive.

Price : RM410 free delivery

Contact / Whatsapp us at 012-4937380 for further details.

The ArtChamber Quloos Digital Signal Enhancer (New) Empty By golly, this has turned out to be a review

Post by jtan Sun May 15, 2016 9:32 pm

I’m a repeat customer of Lee’s, whose service is excellent. He’d asked me several months ago if I’d like to try out his new discovery, no obligation. I was crazy busy and thought about the chore of having to post the thing back to him, but was curious. It took me weeks to finally just stick it into my system. Then I whatsapped him some feedback, and he asked if I could please share my thoughts publicly, hence this post.

I tried the thing over just one album (Clark Terry, Live at the Village Gate, Chesky CD). Damn. The music had been thoroughly enjoyable without it, but with it...

Some context: Oppo 103D as transport, VdH The First Ultimate as digital interconnect, Audio Note 1.1x (vintage 2006), Naim Nait 5i, Harbeth M30. Open-plan living room, roughly 25 x 12 ft, speakers on the long wall.

Despite having turned volume down towards the end of my first listening session without the device, now, with it on, there was greater projection, sense of acoustic space/scale, clearer musical dynamics.

It’s akin to getting electrical polarity correct: there’s a similar effect of sounds snapping into focus and appearing in space (and your speakers behaving as a point source and not sounding like speakers) and thus, more realistic.

There was more nuance in the highs, better transparency, e.g. you could hear or see the skill of the percussionist in the background or on quiet passages such as on intricate brushwork. All-important bass lines benefited similarly. Best of all was the thing’s effect on musical transitions; changes in pitch, tempo were clearer and more natural to the ear.

I think this is key: pitch was sharper and more firm; leading edges/the beginnings of musical notes were clearer, as was their tonal envelope, the timbre of instruments, how these instruments were being played, and how the musicians played off each other. The overall effect was greater scale, clearer pacing (the space between notes), better musical expression and simply greater vitality to the music making.

If you have a turntable, you might recognise the effect as as being to similar to when you improve your turntable's power supply.

This kind of subtle detail or nuance has an audible musical effect out of proportion to its existence on the frequency response chart. It brought my heroes to life and showed me just how damned good they are/were as musicians and entertainers. Yeah, so I bought the thing.

The ArtChamber Quloos Digital Signal Enhancer (New) Empty Re: The ArtChamber Quloos Digital Signal Enhancer (New)

Hi,

When I first wondered into this tread and saw the review by gtan, I was intriqued by it. I run a 2nd optional source of a transport and external dac. I was in fact thinking what other improvement can I achieved from my moderate set up of a yamaha cdx 1050 which operates as a transport and a diy tda 1543 dac in stack of 4 which was given by an ardent diy friend of mine (rather well known in the diy fratenity).

Having achieved some sonic improvement from attaching a dedicated digital cable namely the nordost silver shadow and an analysis plus solo crystal interconnect, the itch was getting a bigger part of me.

So, I plunged into this solidly built gadget which claimed by none other than Mr. Lee, the entrepreneur that all it does is cleaning up and correcting the data out from the transport. He added that it is not a reclocking nor a RFI buster. It is a passive device in nature. There is not much of info in the net also.

I received the device in mid August 2016. By now, it should have been burned-in though it should only take a couple of hours to do so as per advice by Mr. Lee.

There are 3 options of setting. I found that the the B2 would be considered the most dynamic in terms of soudstage, depth and naturalness compared to the set up without it. The A setting sounded lumpy and slow. The B1 option is forward with vivid sound, clear but lack the 3D effect of the B2 setting.

All in all, for RM410, it is not a high price to pay for the kind of improvement it provides. Surely not a night and day sensation.

In comparison to my 1st source (Naim cd5i Mk2), Naim renders a more precise rendition of the instruments being used and vocal is more upfront. It has more adrenalin to the overall sound. Whereas, quloos, it gives abit of a laid back presentation that might be very well the results of a NOS tda 1543 dac. In short, if I would give a rating of 10 to Naim, what quloos has done to my the other source, it would probably deserves 7. Not too bad a performance, compare to Naim for its reputation.

Associated equipments used can be considered neutral. The list is as follow:

Bryston BP 16 (pre amp)
Bryston 3Bst (2 units on vertical biamping)
ATC SCM11 (speakers)
Yamaha NS SW700 (Sub)
