Locating The Areas of Thr First Reflections
An Audiophile buddy directed me to this site, to calculate the areas of the first reflection in our room.

Precedent Effect
What do we do after knowing the locations of the first reflection area at our walls? Do we cover these areas with diffusers? Not necessarily, we need to first take the Precedent Effect into consideration. Very very simplistically, Precedent Effect is; if the same sound come from two different directions, one the original sound and the other a reflected sound and if the reflected sound is delayed by more than 10 milli second then our brain will start to perceive that the reflected sound came from the same location as the direct sound even though it was from a different direction. If the delay is more than 50 milli second, then it will be perceived as an echo.
10msec in terms of sound travel distant is about 3.4 metres, about 11 feet. If your loudspeakers are more than 5.5 feet away from the front wall, chances are you would not need to install the diffusers.
I hope the above is beneficial to you.

Nice program to eliminate the guesswork. Are the measurements applicable to both imperial and metric measurements?
Cheers.
