KEF Carlton II 204 England Made Floorstanding Speaker

Post by HiFiLab on Sun Jul 16, 2017 11:29 pm

Made In England

KEF Carlton II is a high-quality floorstanding speaker intended for use in living room of average size

Superseding the famous Model 104aB ( •Apparently the Carlton II is a re-work of the Cadenza and 104aB. ), Those speaker offers remarkable accuracy of reproduction with extended bass response

Carlton II features
- Flat frequency response from 47Hz to 20 kHz
- Extended low-frequency response
- High Aoustic output -106dB spl on programme peaks
- Low colouration
- Computer designed crossover network
- Natural wood finish

Carlton II Benefit

with an amplifier output of as little as 15 watts per channel,
Carlton II will provide adequate volume levels for domestic use.
with more powerful amplifiers, higher volume levels can be easily achieved whilst maintaining tonal quality

A new method of bass loading maintains output cleanly down to 29Hz
whilst minimising the effects of sub-sonic signal produced by record warp and turntable rumble

Kef Carlton II's.
Amp friendly. Efficient & suitable with lower power than most KEF's, but pairing with HQ sources will reveal stunning realism.
Drivers are excellent, electronics 100% original. Well matched and balanced.
B-200 8" mid-woofer, T-33 8ohm tweeters, + passive radiator. Extended bass, clean and punchy. Same active driver set as the Reference 103.2.
I'd describe these as like the 104aB but more refined. Absolutely nothing new even comes close to the sound of these any point near the cost here.
