NAD 306 Stereo Integrated Amp Empty NAD 306 Stereo Integrated Amp

Hi all,

As part of my down-sizing efforts, would like to put up yet another piece of gear for sale. This time, the hugely popular and unique NAD 306 integrated amplifier.

This amplifier reached me pre-used and is a part of my second setup for quite some time now. I think the series is from the mid 1990s.

For specs, please refer to http://195.84.101.101/~goranl/projec...eo/NAD_306.pdf

This is perhaps one of the rare NAD integrates to feature so many mass-manufacturer equipment features including switching for Bass equalization (I think this is fantastic for Rock music listening as the additional bass does not boom and is very tight) and a high-gain switch which is essentially the good old Japanese "Presence" control which appeared on amplifiers in the 1970s. There are a host of inputs and tape loops that can accommodate any source rig.

User manual can be downloaded and service manual (soft copy) is available. I must say, that of all the NAD amplifiers I have heard, this is by far, the best for rock music of all rock genres.

The amplifier is in perfect working condition (absolutely all functions) and is in good cosmetic shape (7/10, conservatively). There is a few scratches and some blemish marks on top of the casing (see photo) which cannot be noticed if the amp is on a rack or part of a stack. Think this might have happened while taking it to a friend's place for an audition. However, no impact whatsoever on the overall cosmetics and performance.

Not sure about the pricing but given its condition and unique potential vs the run-of-the-mill NAD amplifiers, think RM 780 is a fair price. However open to fair negotiation. Shipping will be additional (kindly note that the amp is very heavy and must be around 10kg without packing). Hence prefer local pickup if available.

I did a lot of listening to the sound of this amplifier on my ProAc Response 1sc and I must say, that this 50 watt amp can easily drive those power hungry speakers. The sound is typically NAD and very much in line with the 300 series. Don't want to let this go but decided finally to free up some space. We've hoarded a lot of equipment in the recent past and thought i'll let some of these go.

Price: RM780

Thanks for looking, here are some actual pics
