Dear forumers,

I have a pair of scanspeak 6.5" woofer with burn out coil..Anyone know where can I get it recoil. Really love the sound of the woofer and quite expensive too.

I would discourage you to rewound the voice coil as it will probably sound different from the original and the other unit. Try to find the model and always order as a pair.

These pair is the ori one...already replaced with new one directly ordered fr madisound... cost a bomb.
Hoping to recoil just to get it sing again. Thats all.

sdiahmad, i have a pair of scanspeak..had a burn out coil..went to jalan pasar, can ask around there or just go go (if im not mistaken) the store name is lamho..they'll be able to sort you out. and definitely will not cost a bomb

Am not sure where you are located but my under hung neodymium scanspeak 6.5 in mid woofers failed 3 times and was safely repaired by CN Lim at Acoustique Systems at Amcorp Mall. Seems the units broke the wire as it entered the coil.
