Hawaii 5 'o' new and old series theme song compared

hahaha...listening to the 1968 version reminds me of my organ playing days...it was 1 of my exam pieces and I had to play it over and over again to get it perfect...

I have one version on a Japanese LP and cd issue that I think was the best although not original as the series theme but its terrific.

Errrrr guys,

Do both the LP & CD feature "The Ventures" playing the theme or
someone other band?

Last I recall, I had an old "Ventures" LP with that song and always
was told that they were the original.
That and also the fact that The Ventures made made famous the Mosrite
brand of guitars.

Would anyone here care to correct me if I'm wrong.

That LP and CD is a 80's Japanese complilation and all in Japanese so can't make out who the band is. OTH, I have a EMI issued Ventures best of's with the 5'O track, if I recall it doesn't sound like the original theme track on TV...but I'll dig it out and have a listen again.
