To anyone concern about "Con Trader "

Post by eric ng on Mon Aug 23, 2010 3:27 pm

I have deal with a tricky customer/Trader 2-3 month ago. Before confirm dealing ,i already told him the equipment that have minor modification on component (some component cant find at local supplier) .He has audit at my place around 4 hour, after that we open up the case and show him the component modify area. At last he agreed the dealing with very attractive price & condition ! After few day he call & told me he wanted send the equipment for repair & try restore to the original condition.I never heard any news from him ( around 2-3 month). Suddenly he call me up told me that the equipment cant turn ON anymore, and wanted to return back the equipment to me .I never promise to him to bear any repair cost because i already give a very good price to him. (Have anybody buying secondhand equipment still under warranty for 2-3 month ? ) .Pls be aware this tricky guy. His nick : boxer & h/p No. 012-2368812 from KL. He really tricky....

ng, lets get this straight...& info to all members following this thread...

U call selling a defective/faulty unit for a few RMk a bargain?? U want to take back if its such a bargain??
Yes, he did say there was a mod to bypass the soft-start function cos there was a fault which his repairman couldn't find the part. i asked to see the mod & it was a minor mod with 2 jumper wire to bypass a chip. (I was informed by him that with this mod the soft start function had been disabled, meaning that the unit will operate immediately upon switch on) I asked again to reconfirm if this is the only defect of the unit.& he confirmed 100% there is no other issue with the unit.
He must have selective memory cos I was at his place only from 9+pm & stayed for an hr+ (he had to defer the initial appointment cos he had to drive back from Pg hospital cos his mom was sick, ng, don't remember???) I was at his place slightly > 1hr not bcos of audit that unit, most time was spent on him trying to set up his system for my audit. god knows whom he spent that 4hrs with...
Took the unit back the next day to KL & was working ok for that day. The next day the unit could not power-on. After trying numerous times, called him up & he gave the crap that the TNB supply in my place was not stable & the unit is very sensitive to the supply. OK, tried for 1/2 day still the same. Called him again & told me to send back to him in Butterworth to get it repaired. I said no way me sending the unit to him w/o getting my refund.( If he cant get it done right b4 selling, I dont see how he can get it repaired right after my money had passed hands , right?? What recourse I hv if he dont return my unit or him sending for repairs at all??
Told him I will send to a reputable hifi tech for repairs & the outcome will discuss with him on cost if repair successful. He said OK
The tech was busy with many equipment sent to him & my unit was only diagnosed last Saturday (21/8/10) with many other faults (the initial repair done by his tech was not complete or was beyond his tech's ability) .Immediately called him up to discuss how we could come to a settlement.
He now denies his words & kept harping that I had the unit for the past 2 months as if I had been enjoying the use of the unit. The unit was at my tech's place waiting for repairs...tried calling him many times on 21/6/10 but he doesn't hv the balls to pick-up my calls. Thats when I posted in the forum warning others here of this jerk....

If anyone needs confirmation that the unit had been with the tech all this while I will reveal his name (with the tech's permission of course, btw he is a highly regarded repairman in this forum.
