NVA AP-50 integrated amplifier (Sold)

Making it into the ads just before the year ends, is a NVA AP-50 integrated amplifier. Most of us are no strangers to NVA gears and it’s no secret that they’re often pitched against the likes of Naims. Each has their own loyal band of followers so it depends on which side of the fence you’re on. Not surprisingly, this amplifier has one of the smoothest mids to have ever graced the solid-state world. Reviews has it that its presentation / tonality is almost tube-ish and having listened to it extensively, I wholeheartedly second that bold statement.

Built with the finest materials (Wima, Darlingtons, etc) by the highly acclaimed designer, Richard Dunn, this amp, as with all NVA amps, will change the way you look at solid states and the common “transistor-ish signature” statement that plagues most solid state gears.

The only reason why I’m giving the amp up is because I’m completely into planar magnetics headphones and recently purchased a dedicated fully balanced headphones amplifier to go with it. Since I don’t plan on acquiring any speakers for the foreseeable future, the NVA will not see any usage as a result so it might as well go to somebody else that will put it to good use and appreciate its fine qualities and what it truly has to offer.

It’s not aesthetically perfect. There are some nicks and a couple of fine scratches on the case. It is however functionally / operationally perfect.

In spirit of the holiday season and that the world did not end in 2012, I’m pricing the amp insanely low at only RM1050 and I will take care of courier charges (Poslaju / SkyNet) to anywhere in the Peninsular. East Malaysia friends, we probably need to split courier charges since it’s likely gonna be a bomb. Those within the vicinity, come pick it up yourself and I’ll knock off an additional RM50.
