ARCAM ALPHA 6 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER

Classic British HiFi amplifier   With mains lead.

You probably know all about these wonderful amps but in case you need the tech stuff ………

Arcam produced a series of amps from the Arcam 1 onwards, winning multiple awards.

For sale is my Arcam 6.  Genuine and powerful 45 Watts / channel.

4 selectable Line Inputs.  
Tape Input.  
Plus proper Phono stage for use with a turntable.  
The Phono input can also be switched to become an extra Auxiliary line level input if desired.

Normal Balance, Bass and Treble controls with a "Direct" button to bypass these if desired for a slightly purer sound.

Headphone socket.

Arcam high quality  binding posts for speakers which take a standard 4mm banana plugs or you can simply wire direct without plugs for the best sound or if you are not intending unplugging the speakers very often.

Can take two pairs of speakers.
Normal single pair of speakers plus option to use the switch on front panel to turn on / off a second set.


For example use a second set of speakers in a different room that you don’t need on all the time.

The amplifier is in very good condition cosmetically as seen in photos.

Has been used for past few years as an amp connected to a TV – so limited use only when watching DVD, was paired with small Mission M70’s and sounded really good.
Originally was used with Tannoy 633’s and will sound even better with high quality speakers such as these.
 

Was available as Arcam 6 or Arcam 6 r/c model – only difference was the addition of a remote control with the Arcam 6 r/c.  
This is the more expensive Arcam 6 r/c .
