Vintage SUMO 'Polaris' 310 Class AB Power Amplifier
Sumo Polaris 310 Amplifier Audiophile Class AB 100w per channel @8ohms MOSFET
Immaculate and nice looking Amp.
Designed by the world renown James Bongiorno who founded Great American Sound (GAS). Ampzilla, Sumo Nine, Son of Ampzilla etc. great audiophile amplifiers with lots of guts.
This is an outstanding and extremely rare Sumo Polaris 310 2 channel power amplifier in very nice condition. The Sumo 310 is an audiophile Class A/B amplifier that is extremely clean. It is rated at 100 watts per channel, but will easily double that output under high demand. Don't let the 100 watts per channel fool you this amplifier has some real "beef" to it.
Description
The new Sumo Polaris class AB power amplifier banishes transconductance error completely with exclusive power MosFet correction circuitry.
Using an independent closed loop servo system directly at the amplifier output, Polaris dynamically corrects the error, reducing distortion and contributing to the amplifiers high frequency smoothness.
Wonderful sounding with sweet mids and unique 3 dimensional soundstage. It is a steal of deal at its price range. This amp sounds a lot more than it is priced!
cables become important as does program material. once you have your cables and speakers placed right it can sound like a tube as stated. some measure much higher than the 100 watts and i am quite pleased. input welcome.
Quite lightweight for such a ground sounding amp too.
