RIP BS Lee
I would like to inform of the passing yesterday of one of our members Mr BS Lee.
I think he posted here under the nme of CM Boy with a Hitler cat as his avatar.
Sadly Lee has succumbed to cancer, but perhaps a blessing because he suffered greatly over the last few months.
Lee was an extremely knowledgeable hobbyist.
He became a friend after he fixed an old Rega for me which continued to work flawlessly.
He was known as someone who could properly set up a turntable and arm.
He did excellent repairs and built some excellent phonostages and PSUs.
I like some of us here, have had the honour of knowing him.
May he Rest in Peace. Al fatehah.

Re: RIP BS Lee
Sad news indeed. A wealth of knowledge and experience, coupled with a human touch, gone too soon.

Re: RIP BS Lee
Rest in peace... only got to know him in recent years, enjoyed the informative sessions with him very much, serviced a couple of turntables for me. I last met him at KLIAV Show in July, he was very positive about getting back on the path to recovery.
He will be missed.
He will be missed.
Re: RIP BS Lee
I was fortunate to know him through a common friend several years ago. BS had the Midas touch with HiFi gear, especially TTs.
He tweaked and souped up an old X Can V3 I had and we had countless hours musing over how different components and headphones affected the sound.
I took it out and gave it a run after hearing of his passing - and the V3 still remains beautifully sounding thanks to BS.
I will remember very fondly our long afternoon sessions listening to records as well as our banana leaf lunches, which I know he thoroughly enjoyed.
Rest in peace BS, you will be sorely missed.

Re: RIP BS Lee
Yeah Lee had a big hand in 2 x td124 rebuilds, countless old junk valve amps i seemed to accumulate.
He helped out hugely with my forays into DIY and soldering etc. Learnt a lot from him.
He was a good guy, a friend and will be sorely missed indeed.
I am glad you guys have chirped in. Wasnt sure if it was appropriate to post an orbituary here.
