Enjoy immersive multi-channel sound with the Marantz SR5011 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver. It delivers up to 100W of power per channel at 8 Ohms and features Dolby Atmos compatibility for object-based audio support; similarly, it will also support DTS:X via a future firmware update. Built-in Bluetooth and AirPlay support allows the receiver to wireless stream music from compatible sources such as smartphones and tablets.
Onboard Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity allows the SR5011 to access a variety of Internet-based music sources like Spotify Connect, Pandora, SiriusXM, and more. As an added convenience, you can download the free Marantz 2016 AVR Remote app from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon App Store to control the receiver from your Android, Kindle, or iOS devices.
With eight HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs, this receiver can act as a video switcher for your HD source components. It will pass through 3D and 4K signals, and will upscale non-UHD signals to near-4K quality for enhanced viewing of lower-resolution sources when paired with a 4K display. The receiver also has a USB port for accessing media stored on USB flash drives. Audyssey MultEQ XT sound optimization will calibrate the receiver to your speakers and room setup for a tailored listening experience.
HDMI 2.0a Connectivity; HDCP 2.2 Compatible
With 8 HDMI inputs, including one located on the front panel for quick connection of temporary video sources, the SR5011 supports the HDMI 2.0a specification, including 4K Ultra HD 60Hz video, 4:4:4 Pure Color sub-sampling, High Dynamic Range (HDR), 21:9 video, 3D, and BT.2020 pass-through support on every input. It also features HDCP 2.2 compatibility for 4K Ultra HD copy-protected content, making it ready for 4K Blu-ray players, 4K Ultra HD streams and downloads, and possible future content sources. The video processor can also upscale SD and HD video to near-4K resolution. Certified by the Imaging Science Foundation, the SR5011 features a suite of video calibration controls for use by an ISF technician along with ISF Day/Night video modes.
Built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, DLNA, and Apple AirPlay
Equipped with Wi-Fi & Bluetooth wireless streaming connectivity, the SR5011 features a dual-antenna RF transceiver system, designed for robust and error-free streaming even in congested urban environments. Connect to the internet through your home Wi-Fi network (or with a hard-wired connection via the Ethernet port) and enjoy your favorite tracks from streaming music services such as Pandora and Spotify Connect. You can also choose from thousands of internet radio stations around the world, and enjoy music from virtually every genre. The SR5011 also features AirPlay, through which you can enjoy listening to your favorite tracks wirelessly from your favorite iOS device, including the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. Additionally, the SR5011 is DLNA 1.5 certified for compatibility with your home Windows or Mac computer.
High-Resolution Audio
The SR5011 lets you discover the fidelity of High-Resolution Audio tracks with the ability to decode up to 24-bit/192 kHz AIFF, ALAC, FLAC, and WAV lossless files, as well as DSD 2.8 MHz and 5.6 MHz tracks (the audiophile format of SACD) via the front panel USB port and network sources. You can also listen to other popular file types such as MP3.
7-Channel Discrete Amplifier with Eco Mode
The power amp section features discrete high-current power output devices, identical on all 7 channels for soundstage uniformity. Rated at 100 Watts per channel, the SR5011 features low impedance drive capability and is compatible with 4-Ohm speakers. The Eco mode provides energy savings and features an on-screen Eco meter.
Dolby Atmos
Dolby Atmos surround sound technology dispenses with channel-based coding in favor of more advanced object-based coding, giving the sound designer the ability to precisely place sounds anywhere in the 3-dimensional space. The SR5011 features the ability to connect a 5.1 surround sound speaker system and two additional overhead speakers, or two additional Dolby Atmos-certified up-firing speakers. Along with Dolby Atmos decoding, the SR5011 also features Dolby TrueHD lossless decoding and other Dolby Digital technologies.
DTS:X-Ready
DTS-X features object-based audio coding that lets the sound designer place sonic elements anywhere in the 3D acoustic soundspace and provides for overhead speakers to deliver a stunning surround sound experience. Along with DTS-X decoding, the SR5011 features DTS-HD Master Audio decoding and other DTS audio technologies. DTS-X will be enabled via via a future firmware update.
Marantz HDAM
The internal circuit is designed to enhance audio quality by delicately handling all signals via the HDAMs in Current Feedback topology before they reach the speakers. Marantz HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) technology is fashioned to provide low-noise, wide-band performance in an all-discrete configuration compared to conventional op amp ICs. Furthermore, the technology provides a fast slew rate for true wide-band response and maximum dynamic range to deliver optimum sound quality with High-Resolution Audio formats.
Marantz 2016 AVR Remote App
Download the free Marantz 2016 AVR Remote app from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon App Store. This app gives you control of the receiver as well as access to your receiver's setup menu for detailed adjustments from your phones or tablets. The app also provides quick access to the receiver's status display, option menus, Marantz Blu-ray player control, and online owner's manual for your convenience. With queue management, you can browse and add new tracks to the playlist on the fly.
Smart TV Connectivity
Via the HDMI CEC (consumer electronics control) functionality in your Smart TV, you may be able to control your Marantz AVR with the Smart TV's remote control. With HDMI control set to ON in your receiver, you can set Smart Menu to ON to start controlling your Marantz AVR with your Smart TV's remote. The Smart Menu home screen provides quick access to source and surround mode selections, the AVR's setup menu, and four Smart Selects.
Audyssey Silver
The SR5011 features the Audyssey Silver suite of DSP functions, which includes MultEQ XT, Dynamic EQ and Dynamic Volume. The Audyssey MultEQ XT automatic room acoustic measurement and correction system matches your speakers to your room's acoustics, for a smooth, natural tonal balance. MultEQ XT is designed to provide greater filter precision for the main and satellite speakers with eight times the resolution compared to the base MultEQ system, at up to eight measurement locations. Audyssey Dynamic EQ uses psychoacoustic algorithms to continually adjust tonal balance so that the sound you hear is full range, even at lower volume levels, and Audyssey Dynamic Volume smooths out annoying volume jumps, especially with loud commercials.
Dual Subwoofer Outputs
With a single subwoofer, optimum placement within the room for the best bass response isn't always possible; depending on the location, bass response at the main listening position can be uneven with audible peaks and dips. With two subwoofers positioned in different locations, response averaging evens out the low bass range for more accurate bass anywhere in the listening area.
Multi-Source / Multi-Room
You can enjoy your favorite movie in the main room while others enjoy a different source such as online music in the second zone. The SR5011 is equipped with speaker connections as well as pre-amp outputs for a second zone. There's also a dedicated HDMI output for second zone audio and video so you can have two different video sources in two different rooms at the same time.
Front USB Port
The front-panel USB port streams tunes directly from your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad and charges your device at the same time. You can also connect a USB drive and listen to MP3 and WAV files. The SR5011 features high resolution audio file compatibility, including DSD (2.8/5.6 MHz) and FLAC lossless decoding up to 24-bit/192-kHz.

The SR5011 is equipped with a range of features that provide enhanced control capabilities and compatibility with third-party and custom integration solutions. For remote control compatibility with other components in your home theater system, the SR5011 features an IR (infrared) remote control input and remote control output on the rear panel, along with dual 12V trigger outputs. The SR5011 can also be set up and operated by a home computer on the network via IP control, either via wired LAN connection or via Wi-Fi wireless connection. For direct connection to external home automation and control equipment, the SR5011 is equipped with an RS-232C serial port. The SR5011 also features Control4 SDDP (Simple Device Detection Protocol) and Crestron Connected certification for quick and easy integration with Control4 and Crestron home automation equipment.
