These speakers produce a sound that is much better than anyone with only so much to spend has any right to expect. Yes, there are compromises—the bass lacks a bit of pace, there aren't quite the degrees of detail and transparency offered by the similarly priced Dunlavy SC-Is, and you shouldn't choose these speakers if you want to play your music at rave levels in a large room. - Initial impression: Impressive sound but slightly too sweet-toned.
- Placement: Optimized with 24" stands and small cones to tilt the front up for the best axis.
- Overall sound: Inviting, with a lack of top-octave air in absolute terms.
- Bass performance: Surprisingly deep, handling down to 31.5Hz with minimal doubling, but wind noise and pipe tones audible from the port at higher levels.
- Bass extension: Excellent for a small speaker, providing enough bass for musical satisfaction.
- Rock music handling: Good performance, especially on tight bass guitar; some limitations on deep bass.
- Orchestral music handling: No sonic anemia, good power range, clean sound at levels below 95dB, with a laid-back balance.
- High-level performance: Low treble can become biting, emphasizing fizzy edges on some recordings.
- Mid-treble quality: Very clean and detailed, with excellent treble detail from the VIFA tweeter.
- Soundstage: Huge and atmospheric, though not as sharply defined as some higher-end speakers.
- Pace and rhythm: Slightly lacking, making some recordings sound ponderous; not as fast as some more expensive models.
- Midrange: Natural and open, with occasional lower-midrange congestion.
- Overall: Enveloping soundstage and natural midrange, with some minor limitations in bass pace and occasional congestion.

DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY 设计与科技:
- Spica's TC-60 design resembles the discontinued TC-50, but is taller, narrower, and features an angled front baffle.
- The speaker cabinet is twice the internal volume of the TC-50.
- A 1.5"-diameter reflex port at the rear base tunes the enclosure to a "QB3" alignment.
- The QB3 port design bends 90° to avoid interference with the front baffle, and terminates near the side wall.
- The cabinet construction includes a brace connecting the front and rear walls.
- Felt is used extensively in the design: covering the front baffle, internal surfaces, and grille frame, reducing resonances and modifying radiation patterns.
- The crossover design uses a fourth-order Bessel low-pass filter for the woofer and a first-order high-pass filter for the tweeter, optimizing time-coherence and flat amplitude response.
- Components in the crossover include ferrite-cored inductors, plastic-film capacitors, and are mounted on a printed circuit board near the rear wall.
- Bi-wiring is supported with two sets of five-way binding posts, though internal wiring is a basic 18-gauge.
- The speaker features a 1" double-chambered cloth-dome tweeter from VIFA and a Peerless polypropylene-coned 6.5" woofer for high dynamic range.
- The speaker performs best with the grille on due to the felt profile and radiation pattern control.
