The sound quality is characterized by effortless, uncolored lower midrange that creates a silky, enveloping texture, coupled with excellent detail retrieval that brings out subtle dynamics in male choirs and delicate piano performances. Orchestral passages are rendered with clear separation and no compression, while transient response is fast and clean, enhancing realism, especially in percussive elements. High frequencies are sweet and naturally clear, though not excessively extended, offering an immersive experience without extreme sparkle. The bass is crisp and quick, with natural warmth in the midbass, and while it lacks extreme low-end thunder, it remains solid for jazz and rock. Overall, the sound impresses with dynamic capability, clarity across the frequency spectrum, and superb transient handling, making it well-suited for both rock and jazz performances.

- Chario offers a range of loudspeakers, with the Premium 2000 being the entry model in their Premium line
- The Premium 2000 features Chario's "frequency shifting" principle, which aims to achieve good energy linearity and dispersion.
- The design includes a long-throw 6.7" woofer with a radiating diameter under 8", crossing over at 1500Hz, and a 1" soft-dome tweeter derived from Chario’s Constellation series.
- The tweeter has a rigid hemispherical pad to distribute air pressure behind the diaphragm and reduce acoustic resonances. Its aluminum front plate helps dissipate heat.
- The woofer’s cone is made from "stochastic cellulose fibers," and the driver has an extra magnet to reduce Q and enhance acceleration.
- The speaker features a port mounted at the base, with four rubber feet raising the enclosure slightly to allow the port to breathe.
- Chario recommends toed-in positioning of the speakers for optimal sound, which enhances depth. Straight-ahead positioning increases the width of the soundstage.
