hazy,

No pun intended. Is it Usher that you are referring to (Unser). Tried searching for Maggellan via Google but could not find it.

I felt lucky as I had auditioned SF, Avantgarde, Avalon, Wilson Audio, Dynaudio, Audio Physic, ProAc, ATC, PMC, Jadis, B&W and a few other reputable brands.

I've got the vintage Sonus Fabers; Minima Amator and Signum. What a contrasting duo. So simililar yet so different. But if money was no object, I desire the Grand Utopia.

Have the chance to listen to this B&W Nautilus during a local hi-fi show. Couldnn't remember which year.

Back then, I was told that Sultan of Brunei bought a pair. Doesn't cost an arm and a leg to him though.

I was also lucky enough to audition Wilson Audio Grand Slam when I was very young. It was at Absolute Sound Stage in Seremban.

I have been lucky enough to hear that B&W Nautilus ... there is a pair in Melbourne. In fact I was having dim sum in the owner's restaurant yesterday! Smile It is paired with the most amazing electronics in the most amazing custom built room - a DCS stack, 8 channels of Rowland amplification, and cords that look like snakes from the Amazon.

What does it sound like ... well it sounds like nothing. Very neutral and uncoloured, and very coherent. With some recordings it is so good that it sounds as if there was no hi-fi in front of you.

I am sure that there are a few pairs in Malaysia. Years back, there was one on demo with the dealer based in Phileo Damansara.

I was given the opportunity by its owner for an audition Very Happy

It was driven by a pair of Krell FPB-250Mc and the source is Bladelius Embla. Owner has an iPad for control. Very musical and nice vocal. I must say that the Cardeas finishing is excellent.
