The Following Item is for Sale : and is sold as LOT (Please Do not ask for Individual Items)
So Here we are 2 Bold Jazz Crooners Mark Murphy and Kevin Mahogany from the Jazz World
and surely the all time audiophiler's favourite Doug McLeod and Jim White from the Blues/Folk World.

Audiophile Vocal LOT NO.3 (Male Crooners) Lot of 4 Cds - 3 New Cds + 1 Used SOLD TO FINE GENTLEMAN Manjaz10

1.Kevin Mahogany - "Pussy Cat Dues" The Music of Mingus (Enja Records Made in Germany)
Jazz Vocalist Kevin Mahogany well known for intricate "Scatting" ability, does a rare disc here with the WDR Big Band directed
by Bill Dobbins with appearances by Charles McPherson on Alto Saxophone (Mind Blowing Solos!),
Jimmy Kneeper on Trombone and Dennis Mackeral on Drums - A Splendid Big Band Tribute to the Music of Charles Mingus, with
new treatment on mingus classics "GoodBye Pork Pie Hat", "Boogie Stop Shuffle","Pussy Cat Dues" and many others.

2.Mark Murphy - Links (High Note Made in U.S.A)
4 time winner the prestigious "Downbeat Award" for best Male Vocalist, and 6 Grammy Nominations, does a few originals here
with a few Murphesque treatment of jazz standards namely Billy Strayhorn's "A Flower Is a Lonesone Thing", Loesser's "The Lady is in
Love with You" and 2 Ellington Medleys "Daydream" and "In a Sentimental Mood".
In a world where theres are too many Buble's and Cullums around, Murphy and Mahogany surehit the nail on what jazz singing is.

3.Doug McLeod - Whose Truth Whose Lies (Audioquest Made in U.S.A)
The Man with the BLUES, critically acclaimed disc reissued by Valley Entertainment in the United States
Whose Truth, Whose Lies?, which should appeal to anyone who likes his/her blues dark, shadowy, and moody. This isn't a CD that tries to win you over with slickness; whether MacLeod is going electric or acoustic, he obviously identifies with the simplicity and honesty that characterized the country blues artists of the '30s and '40s. Not that Whose Truth, Whose Lies? sounds like a recording from that time. MacLeod's lyrics obviously aren't pre-World War II lyrics, and he has been influenced by soul, rock, and folk as well as country and urban blues. Not everything on this superb album adheres to a 12-bar format, and some of the tunes fall into the folk category. But even when he is getting into a folk or R&B groove, MacLeod can always be counted on to provide a wealth of blues feeling.
Whose Truth, Whose Lies? may not be the work of a purist, but it is certainly compelling.
* Minor Issue (THIS Disc above has been lightly used, with a few surface scratches, nothing major after we ran a full test and does not effect the play)

4.Jim White - No Such Place (Luaka Bop Made in U.S.A)
Clever master of Southern gothic storytelling folk music. No Such Place is a brilliant follow-up and reveals White at his best. It's a bluesy, atmospheric-laced collection of songs about loners, ghosts, devils, love, and angels. Well skilled at providing listeners with a detailed look into his psyche, White simultaneously, and almost undetectably, provokes introspection throughout the album's 13 tracks. His songwriting is best exhibited when the album flows between gentle, dark, and spacy tunes like "Corvair" and "The Wrong Kind of Love," to all-out stompers like "10 Miles to Go on a 9 Mile Road," "Handcuffed to a Fence in Mississippi," and his unique cover of Roger Miller's "King of the Road." No Such Place is a classic storytelling affair, OUTSTANDING AUDIOPHILE SOUND!
Retails at around USD20.00 in the United States a worthy edition to the Quinta Ruban Crooner's Package, First Come First Serve!
