CDM 2 is a CD Mechanism that was widely used in Philips CD players during the year of 1985 to 1988... 
A good example of players use CDM 2 drive -Philips CD650 and Meridian CD 208. Now days CDM2 is quite rare and many has stopped working after 2 decades of age so i it is time to resurrect them if you still keeping those Hi End player that came with the legendary DAC [1540p or 1541 ].
