Up for grabs today is a stock Audio-Gd Compass DAC / Pre-amp / fully discrete head-amp in great condition. The Compass sports various settings that can be configured to suit your listening preferences. This Compass is a no-nonsense combo – check out its guts:

PCB construction - 2 mm double sided gold plated through hole type. 70uM copper.
13,200 uf of mains filtering capacitance. NoVer Audio Grade RX11 (3,300 uf x 4)
Ground loop breaker circuit - 2 diodes 1 resistor.

The pre-amp module can be switched on / off via a switch at the back. A similar switch also controls the gain settings. The Compass comes with the Earth HDAM module, stock optical cable, stock USB cable, stock jumpers and stock power cable. You can buy additional HDAM modules (Sun and Moon) directly from Audio-GD if you want to. If you’re a hardcore DIY kinda guy, you can modify / customize the Compass and take it a step further on what is already a darn good platform.

For the curious, this unit belongs to my uncle who has since upped the ante with his purchase of a Lavry DA11. A 60-year old guy isn’t going to be bothered with composing ads online so yeah, you can say that I’m his b**ch and no, I don’t get a cut from this sale. He’s family man! What were you thinking?
