Guys..

Lately seen a guy posting the furutech power cable of this 2 model, wonder which is good. Furutech FP-314AG-II 7 3STS20. Lately I purchased the Abis power conditioner, it come with the stock powercord, thinking of upgrading it.

So would like to check forummer out there...anyone have experinced this 2 power cable before and their comment!

What is the 314 had advantage over 3STS20? or the 314 is sufficient enough for my distributor/ power conditioner!

thanx...

Tried both. Had the 314 for 3 months and was very satisfied. Excellent value for money. Then I got itchy and just wanted to try the 3STS20 to see how much better it could be at twice the price.

Well, bass was fuller and details were better with a richer, fuller and more upfront presentation compared to the 314 which was laidback and easy on the ears for extended listening.

I'd say both are excellent value for money but the 3STS20 with it's OCC copper is indeed superior. For my amp at least.

By the way, I'm using 3 meters of 314 from wall socket to my power distributor and 1.5 meters of 3STS20 from distributor to amplifier. I feel the 314 is fine as a power supply cable from wall to distributor.

Well, i won't really know until I buy 3 meters of 3STS20 but right now I don't feel the need.

hi bimmerman...

Thanx for yr input. Based on yr recommendation, u mean 314 is a layback cable?

3STS20 is not for extended listening? You mean is a more forward type of cable?

Well on my system comprising of a Krell KAV300i amp, yes the 314 was more laid back and easier on the ears. The 3STS20 brought more force to the overall presentation, more bass, more details, more of everything and a very upfront presentation. But as always, your mileage may vary. Smile
