I have just become the proud owner of a CD3 of 2006 vintage.
Wooooow, the sounds of the CD3 is jaw dropping. I'll try and summarise the biggest differences.
1) Immediacy and vibrancy.1541Dac makes the the CDP become more Analogue & Natural .
2) lovely lovely voices. Female voices are gorgeous, the tones are just right and startling real...Shout in your face kinda o-o Eyes popping,listening not pooping..
3) the bass is tight and articulate..whats more after lampa-xitor sifu need to say more?
4) The CD3 has got all emotional flow....otherwise why u must consider it.

As selling to fund for another CD3 mod,I am going to say, with regard to the CD3 I have never had a digital source sound so good until today after heard CD5i,CDX,CDS etc... so much so musical.

U know you are never been late to the party with CD3..it bring the foot tapping all night long
