Dear Friends,

     The importance of Aocustic Treatment !

     The major goal of acoustic treatment is to create a place where you can hear or record true clear sound and music.

       Non acoustically optimised rooms will face problems of flutter echoes and room resonance known as "standing waves". These tremendously reduce your enjoyment of music, ruin your creative works, and result in poor sound quality regardless of the equipment used.



      I  have some acoustic foams for sale. It is a kit and is used for your sidewall. It may have some difuser effect as per it design (a little bit as its material are not pro-difuser). Please find below for details:

Price: RM178 (*delivery charges may apply)

Measurement: 90cm * 90cm* 7.5cm

*It is a package and you need to combine them together (please see above for details)

Dear tlkoo,

       Hi, please find the file attached for my room setup. You may note that my setup is empty (no amp) because I seldom listen to music due to too busy and I lend my equipment to my friend to enjoy for a while.
       Problem of my room before putting acoustic foam is strong echo, strong reflection, "cannot find position of the singers" and my ears feel painful after listening for 30 mins.
 
       The greatest achievements after applying acoustic foams are:

1. Very less echo. You can feel big difference once you put.
2. soundstage and positioning improve. I can feel where the singers are now. haha
3. My ears don't feel pain anymore.

    My setup is simple because I don't want to make my other half complain a bit (man problem). And to be honest my time on hifi is reducing because need to earn back more money after purchasing my current setup (can share with you privately if you are interested).

Hi,

I am new to room treatment. Have implemented some absorbers. Going into diffusors. I will agree with Hong but there are several views on the implementation.

Some would suggest to go diffusors all the way, some recommend to have mixtual of both and tune to your liking.

Dear scwong,

       Thanks for your feedback. Yes there are many different views on room treatment. I would support the mixtual on both as we sometimes we need to absorb and diffuser different sound wave.

        However, i believe a room which spend few k on room treatment will be better than your purchase ten of thousand of equipment. I learn this from my own experience and also being supported by many of clients. 

         That is why it is good that you spend some money on your room treatment and you will never regret. Thanks
