Denon DVD-1940 DVD player - opinions

I have more or less decided to invest in Denon 1940 DVD player. Would appreciate comments from users and need to know the current market price.

Most of the blu-ray players have problem playing normal dvds (especially the pirated ones) and I have a big chunck of collection. Moreover the cost of a blu-ray disc is very absorbitant. Denon 1940 also have sacd which can produce good sound for audio cd. As I do not have a hdmi dvd player and audio cd player I thought 1940 can compensate for it. Of course I have plans to buy blu-ray player in a long run.

If you have alot of "ahem" dvds then denon 1940 will also have problems spinning them. Unless you can get it relatively cheap I wouldn't suggest you take it.

thinaka...maybe can buy pioneer bluray player...can play all type of dvd include pirated ones..
