Rega Apollo CD player Problem

Hi All,

I just bought my Rega Apollo CD palyer few months ago in KL, Now my CD player can't read the CD. Everytime i play the CD , it show NO CD. Very sad. Any shop in Penang can repair it??? Pls help.

Did u buy brand new from a shop in KL? If yes, send it back and use the warranty to get it fixed.

Sad story...its happen to my friend too..just bought the apollo less then 2 months already in the dock..sent for warranty claim but are the dealers sent it to right channel from the rumors some dealer also sent to local technician

If your cdp is not under warrantly,there is a guy in pg who can solve your problem.My rega appollo faced the same problem a few yrs back,he changed a new pick-up/lens and the player was back to normal.You can contact tis no. Mr Lim 016 64160499.Normaly Rega Appollo are very sensitive player.

Just make sure that it is replaced with the same modularized pick up. Rega uses a Sanyo mech which is not as common. Sad to say, that is why a lot of manufacturers are turning their backs on CDPs - terribly unreliable mechanisms, just ask Apple. And that is why CAS or computer audio systems are growing by the minute. Just a tiny hijacking of this thread!
