[WTS] Naim NACA5 5m pair (used) [SOLD]

For sale a 5m pair of Naim NACA5. Purchased from local dealer with receipt and professionally terminated with the excellent QED Airloc bananas on the amp end and QED Airloc spades on the speaker end. 6 months old, 9/10 condition, cables are even still freshly stiff off the reel with no kinks. **SOLD**

Up for sale are my beloved Naim
Credo Speakers. It has never driven hard
as neighbours did not permit. It is with much reluctance that I'm selling these
as they have brought me much enjoyment and I'm very fond of them.


The credo's have a lovely
even tonal balance, and are very musical and open sounding. As with
all Naim speakers they are capable of excellent dynamics and excellent deep bass
whilst retaining the open high end and mids., they are definitely
capable of amply filling a large room with a full sound. I used these for a long
time with great results with a Naim nait 3. Even nicer results can be had with The
old Naim 72/140 amp combo. I tried them with a NAP 180 early on but personally
didn't like the sound as the 180 sounds a bit forced glassy and
artificial [/size]to me.

Having heard the Nait 5i, I suspect it would work very well with
these. Of course, it all comes down to taste but they are not especially hard
speakers to drive and fairly sensitive. As with most Naim speakers these are a
modular design. They are bass reflex with the port effectively being the gap
between the two boxes. This is maintained by the spacers which are all present
as they should be. As can be seen from the pictures they have external
crossovers which allows for easy bi amping and gives you a few options. They are
finished in beech veneer which I think is by far the nicest finish for these
speakers.


... there are a few minor blemishes which on the top of one speaker has some mottling where The drivers were facing the
other way and were not touched and it is not particularly noticeable unless your
looking for it. there are also about three small marks to the veneer which are
shown in the photos. All of these floors are very slight and don't affect
performance in any way.


I've put these up with a
start price of RM3750 which is just over half of the original price
(RM7600). I thought this seemed fair bearing in mind the condition and that I
loose a chunk in sales fees.


I would obviously prefer
collection as these are fairly large and weigh around 40kg for pair.
I can look into other options if you have a preferred
postage method as long as it's drop off/collection is not too
difficult.
