Probably very rare on earth as seen now a day, many of these have been collected by vintage kaki from Ho Chi Minh city.
Silver faced.solid amplifier back in 1975.[ 38 years old chap stand strong]

The model was made by the same designer who later established accuphase, who know it?
Inside all point to point wiring, hand solder, very rare and long manufacturing cycle time.
more info here,take a peep: http://www.thevintageknob.org/kenwood-Model_500.html
Pm to deal, takes 2 phono input, very good for phono lovers

Re: Kenwood Supreme 500 Int amp(sold)
Kenwood K500 sounds much more better than machintosh[vintage] as compared before.
Price reduced to RM1900.
Item in mint condition.
Urgent sale, need $$ very urgently anyhow cant wait that long enough to change my mind. I am losing a lot on this amps, it was just recently done recapped and sounds has been restored.
awesome, everything's are look just fine.one word you will be a very happy owner. Best buy of 2013 perhaps 2014.
Grab the bargain, you can see many fine vintage, but I "cabar" you people in this forum, non of you ever heard this amp do ya?
compare any sansui ,K500 beat them upper hand.No doubt, Google Audiokarma to read more info.
you people need to drive towards south to buy as I wont be kind enough to post these heavy item using national services.
so be prepare for not speeding, many jerks are hiding under the overhead bridge, speed trap along the PLUS highway, consider for the asking price ,it is still lot cheaper even you have been caught speeding [a few times].

Kenwood K500 Integrated Amp for sale
Hey Dude,
We may never heard or Audition your Amp but I dont believe it really can beat Macintosh or Sansui Vintage.(Or in the first place, Dont comment like that). I am a Sansui Fan and User and I also have the Top Sansui Model, the BA-5000 & CA-3000 Pre/Power and some lower model too. I am also AudioKarma member as well as Singapore's Echoloft (Buy/sell) Hifi web member.
You have every right to say what you want about your Amp to make it sell fast but one thing : Dont ever Condemn a Brand Name.......There are many Sansui and Macintosh user here.....Although I am a Sansui Fan, I dreamed to have a Macintosh MC-2500 Power Amp but just couldn't afford (not at the moment). It retail Used at SGD4000 (Rm10,000) but + Airfreight + Custom Tax will easily reached RM15,000 Landed Malaysia.
Now back to Sansui......Why is it that there are so many Follower (Fans out there) in USA, Germany, Canada and Asia as well. It is because they
have used and still are using Sansui, the likes of BA-5000, CA-3000, AU-111 (which easily Retail for more than RM5K here in Malaysia). Because it is one of the BEST Tube Amp that Sansui ever made.A Special Order can be made even Today with a Price Tag of more than RM30K !!! (for the AU-111).
It is openly acclaimed in the International Hifi Forum that Sansui Amp has some of the BEST Phono Stage (although I am Not a Vinyl Fan). The well known Model are AU-20000, AU-11000A,AU-11000, AU-9900, AU-9500,AU-999, AU-777, AU-7900, AU-6900, AU-5900. Even the lower model AU-555 and the later improved Version AU-555A is very well known and are sought after by Vinyl lovers until today.
In AudioKarma or any Forum, a single person can claim to say this or that, but we RELY on the Masses (the Majority) to believe or prove that this is better than that.......But whatever it is, I do hope you sell your Amp fast. But dont claim that your Amp can beat All the Vintage SANSUI or Macintosh.....
Any SUI or MACKIE Fans will laugh inside their heart or even Angry at your comments. We may have never listen to your Amp, But have you listen to
AU-111, BA-5000 & CA-3000 or even the sought after AU-X1 Sansui Integrated Amp (price Tag USD 1800 to USD2500). Like what our member based " Down Under " (Australia) said " Any Sansui Amp up for bidding in ebay Australia is like finding the " Holy Grail ". So you see, Sansui is Internationally well Acclaim and sought after even until today (see ebay USA Competitive Bidding on Top Model like BA-5000, CA-3000 and the RARE AU-X1 Integrated Amp.
And without you realise it, some person who respond to your ads comments before me here are Sansui Fans too.......In the USA, Sansui Integrated Amp AU-717 SELLS very well and always have stiff competition in ebay. Same also in Singapore Echoloft......read and take note how they put their Ads, they never claim their Amp is better than others.....It is a matter of Self Experience and liking after many years using. And every thing will depends on One self Ears to judge....There is NO Technical Test or Shoot out to prove it....
Like they said "One man's Food may be another Man's Poison " as they says.....
AudioKarma Fans also said this " Vintage Macintosh sound much better than Modern Version ". But as I said, I am in No position to judge and comment this, because to Prove it, I must have many Units of Vintage and Modern Macintosh. So for you to prove your claim, then you must have many, many Models of Sansui side by side to prove it !!! (That is very impossible because back in those days the price of BA-5000 is equavalent to One Family Car ! And from my experience that is IMPOSSIBLE.... How can you have so many Model of Sansui from the Lowest model to the very Top Model to Compare (shootout) with your Kenwood !!! (Due respect to Kenwood Fans here also...)

Kenwood K500 Integrated Amp for sale
Dude, just what actually is your motive to " Attack " SANSUI openly in your Ad ? There are so many of us here in hifi4sale and singapore's Echoloft......
First of all, you said this " I found one of my Cap (capacitor of course) is Leak.
(correct English should be " is Leaking ") Substance like Urine on the Chassis...
Uh ??? Then Later you said that it was a Mistake and NOT from your Kenwood, (saying the Kenwood looks New....uh ????) but from a SANSUI.....Are you opening an Amplifier and GROPING IN THE DARK ROOM without seeing what Amp you are opening OR you are just Making Fun of sansui ?
Dont underestimate other people's Intelligence please..... (especially ALL the SANSUI Owner/ Fans/ user WORLDWIDE......I have many Sansui Vintage Amps and NON of it has a Leaking Capacitor like " Urine " you said. A bad Capacitor will be Spongy on the Touch on Top or Bulging but NOT as you described in your Thread.....SHEER bullshit....What Sansui Fans in AudioKarma means is a Glue Substance Sansui Factory used but that substance is DRY and only need to remove when Recapping.......
If you are well versed in Electronic, (a DIY can do also) you open up a
MODERN POWER AMP like KRELL, Macintosh, etc...etc.....What Capacitor do you find inside ? You will be surprised that these Branded Amps uses some Japanese Capacitor like ELNA, Nichicon, Panasonic FC, Nippon Chemicon......
The same Capacitor used inside a SANSUI Amps.....(These Capacitors
are proven to be very very GOOD......
For any Amplifier over 20 years old, it is ADVISABLE to Recap all the Capacitors (except the BIG Power Caps). If you can afford, then use Mundorf
or Black Gates Capacitors......
And it is in the Hifi WEB also that a well known Fans of Vintage Amps SHAZAM (Canadian Based) stated that a Sansui BA-5000 beats other Models from the 70's Namely : Kenwood SUPREME 700, Pioneer SPEC 2 and SPEC 4, etc, etc....But this is NOT my Views.....I respect ALL other Brands User....
I will love to have those PIONEER SPEC 2 and SPEC 4 also if I have the chance......because I am Not a One Brand Fanatic,.....its only that I dont
want to read Craps in this Forum.....Especially Belittling other Users espacially
we, the SANSUI Owners......

Re: Kenwood Supreme 500 Int amp(sold)
paiseh..
thousand apology..
But very grateful to read your comments although I am not 100% agreed but these are truly beneficial to the people, it open up my eyes and have broaden up my knowledge.
may be I was overly nervous, I may be losing few $$$ in the sales, but I do have intention to drag anyone to buy it before listen to any of the Sansui amps first this was my motive. I felt awkward but hoping to get some cash to celebrate new year 2014.
still i am believe that Kenwood 500 can put on a stiff challenge for sansui 7 series flagship model to some extend, but no mater what it takes. We have them before but it was our opinion and that is the reference.
Agreed that BA-5k or X1 is too expensive to own back then, hefty price tag many can only be drooled in front of the display window include my friend and me.
If period can reserved, I will definitely will stay with sansui 999 to the end.
Chinese 999 meaning eternity .
feng shui : last long long.
Cantonese : dog dog dog !![ faithful]
trying so many amps before, at lease many still believing that vintage amps are always easier to listen, artistic, good on sight ,mostly was handcrafted/hardwired.. to the soulless automation mass production unit .
And that is our common ground. Going Vintage is the only cultured way.

Kenwood Supreme 500 Integrated Amp for Sale
Olive, Apology accepted Sincerely.....from the bottom of my heart.....Yes,
maybe your Amp can beat the Sansui 7 series, (But Not AU-717 I think because that Amp is Selling Hot even here in Malaysia- between RM2200 to Rm3000 + Even though it is an 85 Watts per Channel. And Not All Sansui. (maybe you were nervous as you said) But Anyway, lets end it here.... (our Disagreement or a matter of personal preference).
I hope you can sell your Amps Fast....Actually, given a chance, I want to Audition your Amp as I frequently fly to KL. If it is an 8/10 condition and NO
visible Scratch, I am interested also. Anyway, since you have apologised, I will Pm you one of my friend in KL Hp No., A Vintage Amp Collector. Maybe he want to buy as he like to collect Vintage Amps.
If it is Kenwood Supreme 700, Pioneer Spec 2 and Pioneer Spec 4, I will grab it before anybody else......These are RARE Amps and on the Wanted List Internationally. You will be on the RIGHT Track if you can get a Sansui AU-999.
I have used this Amp before and some CD Recording really Excelled when played through it....,the more subtle details and Instrument that you thought did not exist (when using other lower model). Power is only 45 watts or 55 watts per channel but in HiFi, power is not important. Just like Tube Amp. some are only 18 Watts per Channel but when you Audition it, you feel as if
the Singer is Sitting right infront of you......
I sold mine to collect enough $$$ to purchased the BA5K + CA3K about two years ago. But I have access to One Unit FIRST Owner, at the moment
still Negotiating the Price. You know what the Owner told me ? He said of that AU-999 Amp ? (Actually belongs to his Older Brother, an Old Man- He is the Middleman). The Amp is still like an 18 Year Old Virgin !!! Oh My God ! That
Amp must be a VERY VERY MINT CONDITION !!! Maybe 9.5/10 Condition......
He said the price is RM2800....(Not the Unit that a Klang dealer Advertised Ok ..? )
I sold Four of my Smaller Sansui Amps to collect some Cash to Add Up for the BA5K + CA3K Purchase. The Amps are AU-999, AU-9500, AU-417, AU-517, and a TU-417.And among all of them, I Missed the AU-999 the Most !!!
Anyway, this search for the Ultimate HiFi " Nirvana " or Ultimate Sound...will never end, until we Run out of $$$....or there is No more Amps to Search.....(you have to spend Four Time $$$ the Price of a Vintage on Modern Amps to get to the same Level of High Fidelity Sound.......Nowadays) One of my Friend in Kajang who is A DIY even said his DIY Amp sound like a RM100K Modern Amp using IMOS (I have never seen it but I think he is telling the Truth) It is the CIRCUIT DESIGN and Not the Parts that make an Amp EXCELLED.....(although Parts are Important too)
Happy Week End !!! And dont forget to put your Ads in Mudah.my also.....Or you can Try Echoloft Singapore (Register as member online first) You know, last month, One Singaporean there was searching for a Sansui AU-7900 and few Months back also another one searching for a Sansui AU-9500. Who knows, maybe some one there is searching for Kenwood SUPREME 500.... They also love Vintage Amps......And One of my friend shop
is named Old Sound....(Mr Norman)

Re: Kenwood Supreme 500 Int amp(sold)
sincere speaking. It is shameful for not getting enough of use in my hand, hence I expect it can find good home and give it a full use.
To make the deal sweet, it is been recapped and was not reflected enough on the asking price itself.
Sansui Fans can try kenwood, actually this is AU717 killer in my IMHO.Please be informed this is my own opinion.

Re: Kenwood Supreme 500 Int amp(sold)
From Jiro Kasuga production.Price revised to RM1550 last offer. He must be mad if he seen i sell his beloved amp at this down to hell price.
all the hi fi guys say AU717 cost way higher than Rm2000 in average..Sonically on par with K500S or may be slight lower.
in US, Supreme K500 could cost same as AU717+TU717!! Google to confirm!
can take Picture upon request,I hate shooting photo[not my shiok point].

Re: Kenwood Supreme 500 Int amp(sold)
I agree with you on Sansui AU-717 as " Overpriced " here in Malaysia. Although I already have the TOTL Sansui, It was always my dream to have one of these AU-717 but Nobody is willing to sell less than RM2300 ! Especially a MINT Condition. I remember, Sollehah Audio sold one for
more than RM2300 few years ago....
My penang friend also would not want to part with his MINT, MINT Condition (With Handles !) for RM2700 !
I believe your Amp deserve more value than what you Advertised lately.....but because it is not much known by
Hifi Enthusiast here.....Hope for the best on the sale ....as Gong Xi Fa cai is around the corner......
p/s: Open your mail....

Re: Kenwood Supreme 500 Int amp(sold)
If you wishing a better deal, may look into USA,i used to do that for Pioneer, sansui, kenwood, sony.
For Rm2700 can get sansui AU919 for RM2700!! lowest i`ve seen RM800 for a worn AU717 half working !easy fix!
Since i am also engaging with british amps,i bochap the japanese sansui or kenwood despite that they sound good.
i like simple one, dont wish to keep amps with so many "military"style warfare equipments because i am not ready to prepare any battles anymore i am old enough playing buttons,i like simplicity as there are limited switches n buttons
and i found "Valve"step up to be very compeling to understand.
This K500 with all the shipping cost and recapped, Splendid expenses has gone to this amp- RM3000!
Merry christmas to everyone especially those who are celeberating in this festive week.
Another RM50 for those who can commit asap!
Cosmetic condition:- Easily scoring 80% perharp 90% if it is legal to announce here.
It was originally flight from USA, No oxidation, the wiring looks new after such 37years of age!
I dont buy vintage items from Asia,They look like shit..KARAT here and there, some circuits gone real bad oxidation and some wires turning hard and "green"joint,if anyone buying these equipment in that condition,it is like waiting for its doom day to come, waiting to dump at scraping yard.
