Frank's power-things are never easy to explain what they actually do!!
 
For this one, the literature (and explanation given to me by Adrian, who used to sell them) is that you plug this into the mains socket nearest to the one that powers your system, and it will influence the sine wave of the mains power.
 
What I find is better pace and rhythm, and removal of harshness and brightness. works quite well for the money.
