Exchange or swap items

Hi everybody"
I am a new user here.
Yesterday i posted the Faulty Marantz cdp for free in the forum, and you guess
what? the respond was overwhelming that i almost want to switch off my phone to prevent my sms overloaded.
I am happy that many are offering different items for swap for the player eventhough i do not actually expecting any.
Yes some may think i am stupid to give away a good cdp for free just bcos
a little problem, but think again, i believe "one man's trash is another man's treasure". the item has been in my storeroom collecting dust for more than
2 years after given-up finding spareparts. I do get the little something in return for the swap from a nice guy, it may not be expensive but at least i am able to use it.
I wonder isn't it nice if we can have new forum for swap or exchange items
because i think there are many items that has little or no real value for sale.
I am sure it is going to be more exciting then.

I wonder what would I get for swapping my Philips 930 integrated amp? Another amp maybe? 7.5/10 condition, no problem so far. Or what would others offer me for my KLH bookshelf 2 way speakers? Condition 7.5/10. Offers anyone?

You will get some Krell amps & SF speakers if you swap your Philips or KLH.

Tannoy's intention was different. He wanted to get rid of his cdp and hence he didn't mind getting nothing or almost nothing out of it. If you guys are thinking of getting something out of your gears, why not just sell it? Be realistic dude, what are the chances of finding someone who has the equipment that you want and willing to swap it with what you have? It's not impossible, just highly unlikely.

Yes of course, the value of both items need to take into consideration to make it works but then again everyone look at the value of each product differently especially things that you dont like anymore.
Selling it off seems to be the easiest way for hot and popular items but less fortunate for the less popular brand/models or other accessories for tweeks. These items is best exchanged, as if there is no cash is involved means more people is willing to try them out, at least give these items a new life rather than keeping in the storeroom to let it rot.
Who knows you might be surprised of what other people willing to swap with you.
