Hi there,

This is the 9th generation Pioneer Kuro and it is a keeper.  There's no point going to 4K since there is no 4K video sources readily available.

I have the Panasonic VT65.  The 3D capability excites me initially.  Right after the 2-year warranty expires, the popular vertical lines problem (e.g. color can't change) happened.  It's caused by bad contact at the ribbon cables, but not very easy to fix.

The Kuro KRP500A still looks better compared to VT65.  Also, screen burnout with Astro channel logos is hardly visible on Kuro but very visible on VT.
