JBL 3800 US Made Floorstanding Speaker ( Sold)

For your consideration a pair of JBL 3800 Home Floorstanding Speaker, in very good condition, and sounding very good, as JBL's always do.  In the late 80's to early 90's offered this speaker line in a more affordable package to the consumer.  The models in this line were the JBL 2500, 2600, 2800, 3800, and the 4800.  This is second from the largest in the series.  This entry level line was not built like the $1000. JBL's at the time but built for people that wanted JBL sound without taking out a second mortgage.

I have owned the 3800's and the 2600's and must say that they do sound very musical and will play all music accurately except for rap or very heavy bass.  If these are too large then I do highly recommend the JBL 2600's for shelf speaker use; there should be some on ebay.  The Titanium Tweeter delivers crisp and clear high's, the bass reflex 8" woofers are accurate and deep, and the mids fill in the rest.  I am selling because I have too many speakers right now so I need the extra room in my home and I am not currently using them anyway.   There are a few cosmetic blemishes but nothing major; just some age scars.  All 6 drivers work fine.  A copy of the owner's manual will be included.  It is also available online from JBL service. I will be using a shipping store to ship professionally and safely hence the shipping charges.
