The Musical Fidelity A308cr is a power house with output  250watts per channel driven by 2 large torroidal... one for each channel. The "cr" in the model stands for "choke regulated" and the amp has one choke for each channel regulating AC input for stability and consistency of power from the AC. This is a rarity in solid state design.  Hence this is a true dual-mono amp which is over engineered.  The amp is compact and heavy due to the 4 trans within. Anthony Michaelson the founder and CEO of musical fidelity created this amp "308"series to succeed the legendary nu vista M3 amp. And its a better amp. The later amps A5 and the current M3 & M6 are not dual mono. .. has no choke... and made in Asia.  The 308 am series is the last series to be designed and made in the UK.  And the chassis is both elegant looking and solidly built.
