Rare Ariston Amplifier With Phono Stage MM & MC also have Headphones Out.

This amplifier was made by the original Ariston company Naim, Linn Competitor

It is a beautifully made circuit with one of the best transformers of its time, made by Holden & Fisher. Naim used the same transformers in their early amplifiers that sound beautifully too.


The amplifier has a great power capacity to drive any type of speakers, and it also has a high quality integrated phono stage and a proper output for headphones.


Unfortunately, Ariston could not compete with the brands like Naim and Linn, and we lost this great British manufacturer that produced some excellent turntables and a couple of amplifier models. So, don't mix this up with what was produces under Ariston name later on and is being produced now.




We have never had Ariston Maxim but, as far as we know, only this amplifier that you are looking at could compete with the likes of Naim, Exposure or Linn in the assembly quality.

and not the one that sells hi-fi under their name nowadays.

This is an extremely heavy and well built amp made with thick
guage steel, as you can see from the internal photo it's made
with high quality components including ALPS potentiometer.

Power amp sections are seperate modules for left and right and
Preamp and Power amp sections can be split to use seperately if
required.
A high quality Moving Magnet section is included as you would
expect from a famous turntable company.

The Amplifier is Remote controlled, but, can be operated manually

The Amplifier puts out 60 watts rms per channel using a beefy
toroidal transformer, the sound quality is superb , this amp is
up there with your linns, Meridians, Audiolabs, etc of the period.

So a very rare opportunity to own one of these beauties which
hardly ever come up for sale,

it as this was an expensive amp in its day .
