This baby maggy do not use ribbon to drive high frequency sound like its more expensive siblings. I had the pleasure of owning them 15 yrs ago while study in the us.

Anybody knows if Maggy has local distributor? I neeed to send my .5QR for service.

The specs is 2 way full range Planar/Magnetic speaker system. Bi-polar design with no cabinet coloration. It is totally a different set of hearing experience.

tq lewce1 for answering hazy question. To put it simply it is just a pair of stretch thin mylar with aluminium cunductors glued to its surface. The key word here is "glued", as the founder Mr. Winey use to work for 3m and he found the way to make it all work and sound fabulous to boot.

Pls check the company website for diff between quasi-ribbon and true ribbon tech.

Kerahkeng, thnx for the details. To me there's a price to pay for true ribbon tech. In this real world of hifi, you pay apple, you get apple.
