Aegis Evo - a veteran, is released more than seven years ago and still sells well. The front panel mounted 10-inch head with combined cone (cone is made of cellulose, and the central dome of the polymer) and stiffer suspension. Unlike the vast majority of models in this price range it uses a closed acoustic design that allows you to completely get rid of the noise bass reflex at high volume. Rated power built-in amplifier of 150 watts, but at the stated lower reproducible frequency of 25 Hz it may be enough.

Subwoofer is equipped with all the necessary adjustments and almost complete arsenal switching interfaces. Among the variety of connectors lacking perhaps only input LFE. Particular attention is paid vibration isolation enclosure floor - the set includes both solid rubber feet and steel studs.

Sound character Aegis Evo Sub fully confirms the advantage of a closed design. Bass is extremely fast and perfectly structured. Sub easily and quickly "ripe" with our floor acoustics, giving juicy and deep enough bottom. However powerful tutti orchestral and organ works notice some lack of power built-in amplifier. At the hearing it is perceived as follows: the main work area is extremely energetic, but weakened slightly subsonic components. This is partially offset by installing the subwoofer close to the wall, but it may decrease slightly intelligibility. The device would be ideal for a small flat area where it can create a very decent sound pressure.
