I only know of a power cord which can improve bass - the Oyaide Tunami GPX.

kancan is right. but then comes the challenge to bring up the mids. feels like want to squeeze in equalizer, or will have to wait for more open sounded power amps. let the tiring journey begins!

Many many Oyaide Tunami fakes floating around. Be very very careful when buying these. Agree with Mugen, Monster cables give plenty of bass but at the expense of detail. Basically everything is attenuated except the bass. Want more bass still??? Get a subwoofer cable!

Dear mugenfoo, You mean the interconnect cable should be thick and fat also? Thank you for the guide.

Yes .. thick , fat ... big BAD-ASS looking. But make sure its FAT because its got alot of copper strands in it, and not just all the foam or PVC packing to make the cable look "sophisticated" lah.

The technicalities if u wish to understand further, lies in the fact that such cables would have much higher capacitances etc ( so it really attenuates more of the high signals than usual), but the big fat copper (usually copper lah) conductors are damn good to carry low freq signals (aka bass signals) which is closer to DC signals. And for pure DC signals, nothing beats a big thick block of hunky metal to conduct it with the least amount of signal loss.

So for big Boomy boom boom sounding bass cables , go for the ones with the lowest possible DC resistance, lowest Inductance, & nevermind the capacitances ( which would be usually very high for such brute force conductor cables anyways).

Same principle for both Interconnects and Speaker cables.

But if u overdo it, u might find the sound too "fat and blurr" sounding to your liking .. so , yeah , go crazy on it, but go easy on it as well.

Spoiler:

If you move up the EM spectrum high enough into the GHz range .... even a
typical wire would not be the best way to conduct the signals, but
instead something that looks like a "rain gutter" (more appropriately,
waveguides) is employed instead. Thankfully such cumbersome devices aren't used in hi-fi electronics.

OK, this is lagi off topic... but the matter of fact is:
If you're really looking for more BASS , there is only so much a cable can do, and no cable will ever compensate for a real BASS making machine, ie a sub woofer or a full-range set of speakers.

Just as one should not expect to "screw in some horsepower" in a car engine just by changing sparkplugs. If u really want more bad-ass power, get a bigger CC engine.

it is a common - perhaps mistaken - belief that thick wires are a must for good and deep bass.

i am using mapleshade clearview double helix speaker cables. these are single strand solid core THIN (18 or 19 AWG, perhaps 1mm diameter) wires and the bass goes deeper than many thick cables i have tried.

For interconnect try QED Silver Spiral. Couple that with Silver Spiral speaker cable. I haven't try the speaker cable but true enough for the interconnect.

what quality of bass you are referring to? Lots of warm bass? lots of muddy bass? thin /bright bass? or quality controlled bass with body and weight ?

If you prefer a good quality controlled low bass with body and weight which this controlled low bass will not overlap the high and mid, just get an Isoteks power conditioner which can power whole of your system instead of getting many cables.
The cheapest Isoteks Mira is suffice to do the task even all of your equipments are using stock ac cords and low price RCA and speakers cables. This quality low bass will definitely impress many. Trust me on this, you will never be wrong.

Hi Amir,

Sorry I do not know the Isoteks dealer in Penang, perhaps you may ask others here.
I have auditioned Isoteks Mira, Sirius, Orion, Aquarius, Sigma and Titan power conditioners with my system and some of my friends systems, so I can assure you that any of the Isoteks products mentioned will definitely improve the bass- very quality controlled mid & low bass with authority, depth, body and weight. Other improvements besides bass are more refined and extented highs which cause wider and deeper soundstaging, better layering; sweet, bodied and more focused mid, overall imaging and focusing are better, more delicate and musical sound. Overall sound will not sound dry, bright, clinical and harsh.
Some of my friends system only use stock ac cords and RCAs, cheap speakers cables, but the cheapest Mira alone has made their system sound expensive, the low bass produced from the rm1k+ sub is like produced by more expensive sealed sub. No exaggreration.
Do try them with your system to prove what I said , before you buy. I should get some commission from Isoteks by promoting their products.
