RIP Helen of Octave Electronics

Some sad news...

Many hi-fi DIY-ers and tube rollers in the Klang Valley will remember Helen and her husband T.T. Yap, the couple behind Octave Electronics located in Jalan Timor in PJ.

Helen passed away yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, Dec 11) after contracting pneumonia some week ago; she had been unwell in recent years and was in hospital being treated in late 2018 and early this year.

I will always remember her as the cheerful girl behind the counter, armed with a soldering iron and fixing something. I've been friends with the couple over the past 20 years, and will miss her.

Sharing this as some of you here would have known her and Yap. It's hard to imagine she's gone...

May her soul rest in peace.
