The Rogers AB1 has a BBC Kef 110 driver facing upwards. It has a sealed bottom and ports on the side. The AB1 takes the load off the Rogers LS3/5A speakers at about 110-120 hz and produces these frequencies and lower. According to ab1 owners: "Once you have the AB1's connected to your ls3/5a you wouldn't want to listen to the ls3/5a's on its own any longer. the AB1 just completes the sound spectrum lacked by the ls3/5a. The only way to listen to the ls3/5a in full range is with the ab1 - trust me i have tried numerous subwoofers including REL and Vandersteen which just didn't cut it no matter how i adjusted and placed them"
